Well, I've started the process of looking for a second job to help us pay for an adoption. David's not too thrilled about it, but what can you do? I figure the 1st year of a second job will be mostly to pay off the bills that we have now (logical I think) and then start saving for the adoption. Another option that we looking at is foster to adopt. I don't know a whole lot about that option yet. I will have to do some more research. I have a feeling that this whole process is going to be a 4+ years thing. You know me, I'm ready for it to happen tomorrow. However, I need to be realistic about things. So, I'll keep updating my blog and letting you know what goes on, I'm just there will be a whole lot to talk about for the first year or so.

Updated Information

Hey Everyone,
I know it's been a very long time since I've updated our blog. Well, there have been some major changes going on. Most of them just within the past 24 hours. David and I have decided we are ready to look at adoption. Some of you may already know that David and I are unable to have kids. Up to this point we haven't really thought about adoption. (David was nervious about it.) Well, last night we sat down and talked and we have decided we are ready to do this. I am SO excited! I'm the kind of person that is ready to go buy a crib and clothes and toys.....BUT I know that I need to slow myself down. Step 1 is to find an agency. Step 2 is to come up with 26,000 dollars. HOLY COW!!! That is a lot of money, trust me I know! At this point in time it looks like I'm going to have to take on a second job. Honestly, it doesn't sound that bad to me. I am ready to get this process rolling but I don't want to do that until I have the funds available. I don't want to get half way though things and then "oh crap" we don't have the money.

So, now that we've started this process I thought our blog would be the best place to keep all my friends and family updated on how everything is going on. Wish us luck everyone!!!

Okay, you all I found out how to get my picture on here! Happy Day! More to come as soon as I get them sorted through. There will be some pictures of David and I from our honeymoon (3 years later) when we went to Disney! Now that I've figured this out expect to see more pictures of Miss Terri and Baby Robert (when he gets here). There will also be lots of pictures of my family!

This is Miss Terri Kae Peele. She is going to be four on October 4th. She is a total joy to be around (when she's in a good mood!). She loves her Maymee (me) and HER David! Heaven help you if you think it's your David 'cause it's not!

Awww..this is my Sasha Butt!! She is an all white German Shepherd and really crazy. David and I got her about 5 years ago. As soon as I get Rainbow to sit still long enough I will get a picture of him. He's all black and quick so he looks like a blur when I try to take a picture.

This would be a picture of my friend Mary and I. This would be our "loser" picture after we lost all our money at the boat. This was supposed to be our Brett Michael's weekend but ended up being the girls weekend because the concert was postponed. It was really fun even if my Mom won all the money!!!!

This is my step mom Karmyn, stepsister Kayla and my Dad Mike. This was taken at one of Kayla's cross country meets. I sort of stole it from her facebook!! Shhhh..don't tell!!

This is Hunter. Hunter is my stepbrother from my Mom's marriage. He goes to Milton-Union. Go Bulldogs!!

You know, when you get together with family, there's always that crazy one!! That would be my Dad! This was last year I think when the Bengals played the Steelers. That would be my Grandpa Blackford to the left of him and half of my Uncle Rob to the right. Poor Dad is the only Steelers fan out of the bunch!

This is a piece I put together last Christmas because I loved the pictures. My Uncle Gary (in the picture) is a photographer and there were too good. The lady in red (no singing) is my Aunt Rita and the lady in black is my Mama!! And of course Uncle Gary in the top picture.

This is Bubba!! Well, actually it's Lee, my brother. He plays for Troy (as you can tell.) However, he is currently out for 2 weeks with a sprained MCL. It really stinks!

Oh Anna!!! This is Anna, my sister and Kristina, my cousin/friend. This was at my birthday last year when we went cosmic bowling. She was not in such a hot mood that night. The poor life of a 15 year old!!

This is Anna and Hunter. They are so funny!

This is my favorite picture of Anna. She is so crazy sometimes. She is currently playing volleyball and we're going back to playing basketball this year. Oh yea, and we have fall softball and then spring and summer softball. It's hard keeping up with this child!

This is my oldest sister, Amanda. She is a junior at Ohio State. Her and Lee are from my Dad and Anna is from my Mom and Hunter from Bruce and Kayla from Karmyn. We have a very blended family and we're all a bit crazy!!

A pretty sail boat!

Another picture of the Bay Bridge

Picture of the Bay Bridge leading to Ocean City, MD

This is David and I sitting outside of Phillips in Annapolis, MD. We went there early last year with friends we stay with in Maryland. It was a great time!!

This is a picture of my cousin Matt, Lee and Kayla. I believe this was Thanksgiving last year.

I know it has been a VERY long time since I last blogged and one of my co-workers has given up on me! This is the first time that I've included a picture in on my blog so we'll see if it works. I have to admit since I found Facebook, I've done no blogging. I wasn't really sure how to start a blog and was told, just tell your story. So that's what I'm going to do!

The above picture is of my Grandpa that we lost a year ago. The one year mark just passed on August 31st and it was a crazy day. I've always lived my life trying to find humor in everything. Well, that's what I tried to do this past August and I think it worked! My Mom, Aunt, Sister, Grandma and I all went to the cemetery that day to visit Grandpa. If you knew my Grandpa, you knew he ALWAYS had a cigar in his mouth! Dutch Master. Grossest things I've ever tasted. Anyhow, we went out there and I had bought a pack of cigars because I was going to smoke one for Grandpa. I opened them and Aunt Rita decided she was going to smoke one too. Well then Grandma decided to smoke one too. Between the three of us we looked like a bunch of crazy ladies standing int he middle of a cemetery!!! We laughed thinking of all the good times with Grandpa and what he would think of us now!! It was a hard day but family made it easier to get through.

A Blur of a Weekend

This past weekend was very eventful and somewhat of a blur. My weekend actually started early. Friday was my trip to Indy to FDIC. So, it wasn't really an early weekend because the trip was for work, but it was a blast. Each year the company that I work for takes part in FDIC. FDIC is the biggest trade show for firefighters around. It is such a good time. It is for me, as a customer service person, a chance to put a face with a name that I talk to all the time. This was a chance for me to visit some of our dealers and spend some quality time getting to know them on more than a business level. As many of my friends and co-workers know, I'm a very personal person. I have a great connection with most every dealer that I talk with. For example, I have a dealer in Maryland that I have become great friends with. What started out as a business friend has turned into so much more. I travel to their house and spend my vacation with them. My husband and I even spent a week with them in Disney this past December. It's just a great relationship.

So...Friday was spend at FDIC. Lunch with Steve from Maryland, drinks with my Jersey boys and then some more drinks with my guys from MD and PA.

Saturday...spent time with family. The usually hanging out at the Peele house. It was great to hand out and spend time with family. Something we haven't done in a few weeks.

Sunday...this day meant the most to me. I will be the first to admit that I do not go to church as much as I should. However, this Sunday was something different. I went to church this morning with my Mom and family because there was a pot pie dinner after for a very dear person to me. My step dad's Aunt Brenda has been battling breast cancer lately and this pot pie dinner was her and to raise money to help her pay bills and such. I've known Aunt Brenda (also known as MaMa Brenda) as long as I can remember. She's always been someone in my life. Aunt Brenda is the sweetest most upbeat person I've ever meant. We we able to raise over $3300 dollars for her.

That being said, today something changed for me. Nashville Church is where I grew up. All the people at the church have known me from day 1. Someone (the Man Above) told me that I need to get my life together and get back into church. I need to get more involved in the church. More involved in the lives of friends and family.

Okay, I am going to wrap this up and finish watching Extreme Makeover. I hope every one's weekend was as great as mine was. Hopefully I will get things together on the post and introduce everyone to my friends and family....as soon as I get the pictures thing figured out!!

Have a great week!!!

Making It Through The Night

I told my friend at work I would post tonight, so here goes. I was laughing when I posted my first time because I was able to wrap up the six years that David and I have been together in a couple of paragraphs. I crack myself up sometimes. Right now posting is not what is on my top ten list for the day. I went to the doctor today and was told I have fluid in my ear and a sinus infection. Not such a good day for me! I spent most of the day praying it was five o'clock so I could come home a sleep. Then when I finally did get home, I couldn't sleep. Such is life.

That being said, I promise to write more interesting posts as this goes along. I'm sure I will have a better one for Saturday because I'm headed out west to Indy for our FDIC show. I'm totally excited to be able to spend some time with my RSM's and customers I don't get to see often.

Until then.......I'm going to take some drugs and go to bed!!!!!

How It All Began

As I have learned from a friend, everyone has a story on how they meet. Well, the story of David and I is quite complicated! David and I meet each other at a local bar on March 14th, 2003 and we have been together every since. I'm going to leave out all the details of how I had a boyfriend at the time and how I didn't go home for two day. Yea, no one needs to know all of that! :) David and I got married on June 18th 2005. It was a great wedding. I can honestly say I've never seen my Dad dance and it one of the best parts of the reception. Right now we are coming up on 4 years of marriage and are doing well. Granted, we've had our rough patches, everyone does, right? Right now we are trying to plan a family. We have a doctors appointment in a few weeks so we will see what happens. Right now we have two VERY ROTTEN dogs!!! They are spoiled beyond believe! We live 1/2 a block from his Mom and about 15 minutes one way from my Mom and about 10 minutes from my Dad. I am huge on family. I love to be around my family and spend time with them. I have three sisters and two brothers. Ages are 19, 16, 16, 15 and 14.

There are some tragedies that David and I are still trying to deal with. About a year and a half ago we lost David's day to lung cancer. It was something that we knew was coming, but it still shocked all of us. He has been dealing with things quite well. I admit he's had his break downs, but who hasn't. Losing a parent is something hard to deal with.

That was one loss.

Then August of last year, we lost my Grandpa. This one is the one that shocked me the most. It was Labor Day weekend and David and I were in Maryland for a quick trip. We had just gotten there Saturday night and it was Sunday morning and we were hanging out in the pool. Normally, when I go to Maryland I leave my phone in my purse because David's with me and he's usually the only one that I talk with. For some reason, after we got out of the pool I checked my phone and had noticed that my aunt had called me. Very strange! The message was that something had happened and Grandpa was in the hospital. Okay, I thought he does a lot of wood working, maybe something happened while he was doing that. Boy was I wrong. Over the next thirty minutes I had about 10 phones calls and the last one broke my heart. He was gone. What the heck happened? Why? It was the worst feeling in the world to be over 8 hours away and not being able to be with my family. I honestly don't even remember the trip home. It was an 8 hour trip, David drove the whole way home and the radio was never turned on. To this day my heart still hurts. Grandma is doing very well and was one tough cookie to get through everything. Right now she just got home from Florida and is looking great.

Well, I know there was probably a lot left out of David and I's 6 years together, but you know, I can only think of so much. I'm sure there will be must more to post as I get used to posting.

Side note...I'm not a blogger!!! I am learning this trait from a friend at work and it's pretty cool. My next adventure is getting to post pictures. Stay tuned and see if that actually happened!! LOL
