A Blur of a Weekend

This past weekend was very eventful and somewhat of a blur. My weekend actually started early. Friday was my trip to Indy to FDIC. So, it wasn't really an early weekend because the trip was for work, but it was a blast. Each year the company that I work for takes part in FDIC. FDIC is the biggest trade show for firefighters around. It is such a good time. It is for me, as a customer service person, a chance to put a face with a name that I talk to all the time. This was a chance for me to visit some of our dealers and spend some quality time getting to know them on more than a business level. As many of my friends and co-workers know, I'm a very personal person. I have a great connection with most every dealer that I talk with. For example, I have a dealer in Maryland that I have become great friends with. What started out as a business friend has turned into so much more. I travel to their house and spend my vacation with them. My husband and I even spent a week with them in Disney this past December. It's just a great relationship.

So...Friday was spend at FDIC. Lunch with Steve from Maryland, drinks with my Jersey boys and then some more drinks with my guys from MD and PA.

Saturday...spent time with family. The usually hanging out at the Peele house. It was great to hand out and spend time with family. Something we haven't done in a few weeks.

Sunday...this day meant the most to me. I will be the first to admit that I do not go to church as much as I should. However, this Sunday was something different. I went to church this morning with my Mom and family because there was a pot pie dinner after for a very dear person to me. My step dad's Aunt Brenda has been battling breast cancer lately and this pot pie dinner was her and to raise money to help her pay bills and such. I've known Aunt Brenda (also known as MaMa Brenda) as long as I can remember. She's always been someone in my life. Aunt Brenda is the sweetest most upbeat person I've ever meant. We we able to raise over $3300 dollars for her.

That being said, today something changed for me. Nashville Church is where I grew up. All the people at the church have known me from day 1. Someone (the Man Above) told me that I need to get my life together and get back into church. I need to get more involved in the church. More involved in the lives of friends and family.

Okay, I am going to wrap this up and finish watching Extreme Makeover. I hope every one's weekend was as great as mine was. Hopefully I will get things together on the post and introduce everyone to my friends and family....as soon as I get the pictures thing figured out!!

Have a great week!!!
